The Older Generation.

This blog is inspired by an incident that I encountered a few days back. I was in a medical store and I was buying few medicines. When I entered the store, I saw an old man and the cashier conversing. At first, I assumed it was a normal transaction that was taking place but when I got closer I observed few things. The cashier was quite annoyed, and the old man was saying something to her. This confused me so I started listening  to the interaction that took place in front of the me.

The old man was instructing the cashier on how to do her job. No, he wasn't her boss or another employee there, he was a customer just like me. The cashier was not pleased with this suggestions. At first, I found it hilarious. But as time passed along I also started getting annoyed as it was getting too long. Finally, the old man got all his medicines and left. Next, it was my turn , I brought my medicines and hastily left.

At the end of the day as I retrospected my day, I thought about this incident.  I started deeply thinking of this incident . The incident was a simple one but it kinda symbolised something bigger to me. The older man giving  instructions to this younger cashier brought in many memories, in which there was someone who was older to me, tried to help me with their suggestions. But in return I was nothing , but annoyed and irritated by it.

But again in this situation who was wrong? Many would blame the younger ones because that is what our society has taught us to. Any situation, the older one cannot be wrong because they are older in age. But age is just a number. I may just sound this wanna be cool teenager who thinks being mean to someone older is cool. But no, my perspective isn't towards the younger generations neither is it towards older generations.

I choose to be neutral in this scenario. The older generation has a zeal to advice and help the younger generation. The  younger generation, has a zeal to use their own heads to formulate new solutions. Both the perspectives are right in their own ways. Using older ideologies, is helpful as we older information can be used to form newer information. But again using the older ideologies repetitively is of no use because it won't formulate a newer path. There won't be any innovations, any inventions or any development.

Now what to do in this scenarios? Do we block the older ideologies or do we just use the new ones? It is hard to judge. I personally believe it is best, if we take the middle path way. The path way to use the old ones and formulate new ones. Again, judging the situation and doing what seems right is very important.

Thank You💟
