Help!!!
Today I am really frustrated and angry, so that will reflect in my blog. I may regret this blog or I may not regret it, maybe I will be proud of myself to write this. The topic of my blog today will be, getting help. Here I will be referring to getting mental help, when necessary. This blog will be truthful and may actually upset few people, so if you are not interested to listen to my advice on mental health, please read the blog, you may need it.
DISCLAIMER:NOT AN ACTUAL MEDICAL ADIVCE FROM AN PROFESSIONAL.Please get mental help. This is for all people. Mental heath has been stigmatised for a really long time. People pass comments like "Only mad people go to therapy", this a lie. Going to therapy is literally like going a physician when your sick, except the thing they treat your mental illness. I have never heard people say things like "Sleep for sometime your cancer will be healed" But I have heard people say thing like "Sleep for sometime your depression will be healed".Both of these diseases are life threatening and should not be taken as a joke. But why do people still say such things. Getting help is not a sign of weakness, getting help is normal and is necessary.
Not getting help is not only harmful to oneself but also the people around them. I have been subjected to people's negativity when they were going through tough time. This has had a negative effect on me and I wish I had been stronger durning those times.I am not saying that it is not okay to get frustrated or have a tough time, it is totally normal. But the way I have seen people deal with their inner demons is not normal. They decide to blame their problems on others because it is more convenient. That is disgusting because sometimes the blame you put on others has an extremely negative effect on them. The person in front of you may take your blames seriously and may do things that are horrible.
I just want to pass on a message that mental health should be looked in seriously. Get professional help when needed or talk to trusted people. But do not ignore your mental health because mental health is not a joke. Because smallest problems today, will become ocean of problems tomorrow and this ocean will not only drown you but drown the people around you.
Thank You💘
